Spirit Defence www.spiritdefence.com.au: Spirit Defence is a small martial arts "school" in Canberra focusing on street effective kali/eskrima. I am somewhat of a freestylist but have a great appreciation for traditional martial arts. My general means of training is to pressure test techniques against progressive resistance... and to have fun! I have had some great instructors over the years and my main training has been in boxing, jujutsu, pencak silat, judo/BJJ and kali/eskrima. Apart from martial arts, I am a psychologist with a couple of Masters degrees and more postgrad study on the way. My aim of writing this blog is to combine aspects of psychology and the martial arts, and share ideas with others. Remember: Have fun. Get fit. Hit hard!
